In a statement on Wednesday, the regional lender said the funds will be sourced from the Bank Group’s Urban and Municipal Development Fund.
The 5.5 km aerial transit system, valued at $100 million, aims to be Sub-Saharan Africa’s first urban cable car network, promising to ease traffic, cut emissions, and connect communities to vital services.
